An exciting community project will be presenting a new digital audio walking creative experience in Maryport.
The Made in Maryport project, which has been developing new cultural activities and events in the town has been working with professional theatre company Ragged Edge Productions and a group of residents to create Jus’ Git On Wid It – A Maryport Audio Adventure.
Starting in Fleming Square, the Audio Adventure will move through the town and end at the Alauna Aurora and audience members will hear a collage of Maryport stories and memories, music and poetry inspired by the town collected by Maryport people, through headphones as they take the journey in sound, guided by director, Stefan Escreet.
The audience are provided with over-ear headphones and guided along an accessible route. The performance lasts approximately 40 minutes.
